San José
is the most populous province in Costa Rica and plays host to San José, the capital of the country. The city of San José is located in the heart of the Central Valley and in the northern part of the province. Because of its ideal location, San José enjoys easy access to all parts of the country and experiences pleasant, temperate climates (around 70°); it is a very desirable and popular location in which to live.

You can have breakfast in San José in the morning, lunch on the beach at noon, play in the sand and surf all afternoon and be home by early evening. Whether you drive, take the bus (private commercial luxury buses or public buses) or arrange with one of several tour companies, your trip to the beach will be a convenient, quick getaway from the city.
