Meet our super sales team: Emily, Juan José, Tom, Jon and Ellie (left to right)
Ellie Watland, a Minnesota native (yah, sure you betcha), came to Costa Rica to escape the cold. She has an M.A. in Organizational Leadership and a background in non-profit management and mediation. She taught English in corporations in Costa Rica for a time, but now works in real estate full time. Ellie’s enthusiasm about Costa Rica is contagious and she looks forward to helping you make a “connection” with the country, whether you purchase a home, condo, lot, business or investment property.
Dr. Juan José Delgado grew up in Mexico and graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México as a surgeon. After postgraduate work in the United States and England he returned to Mexico to work. Juan Jose is now retired, lives in Costa Rica and has time to enjoy his favorite pastime: riding motorcycles. He promises he won’t take clients to visit properties on his “bike” unless they insist! Juan Jose is an upbeat person who will make every effort to help you find the property that is right for you.
Dr. Tom DeVaughn, a retired psychiatrist from the U.S., came to Costa Rica via Jamaica, where he co-founded Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours (see http://www.bmtoursja.com/ ). A land development project first brought Tom to Costa Rica and he decided to stay. He is now in the process of building a home in a lush tropical setting near Dominical. Tom has a special interest in eco-friendly projects and can assist you in the sale or purchase of property that preserves and enhances Costa Rica’s inherent beauty.
Jon Graham, a Massachusetts native, graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Except for five years in Portland, Oregon, Jon has spent most of his adult life in Louisiana. Jon has worked as a registered nurse for 24 years, frequently in executive positions. For the past three years he worked as a traveling nurse, giving him time between jobs to put down roots in Costa Rica. Jon is very personable and enthusiastic and will do his best to help you find your place in the sun. (Jon also speaks Russian!)
Emily Morales, a Costa Rica native who lived in the United States for several years, speaks English and Spanish fluently. She has a background in geology and has worked for oil companies in the United States and Costa Rica. Emily has been involved in land development projects in Costa Rica and can give you advice on planos, visados, catastros, topographical surveys and how to jump through “legal hoops” to make your dreams a reality.
Gisselle Chaves, a San José native now living in Liberia, has a degree as an Interior Designer from Sheffield School of Design, New York, an asset for anyone working in real estate. She can help you visualize how a “diamond in the rough” can become a gem – even if the “diamond” is bare land or an empty condominium. Gisselle has also studied Public Relations at Universidad Autonoma de Centro America. She recognizes the importance of customer service and is committed to providing it to you in your search for Costa Rica real estate.
Alberto Saravia, a San José native, moved to the U.S. when he was 15. After a career in the U.S. Air Force, he retired as a Master Sergeant and went on to acquire a B.S. in Applied Science and Technology in Architectural Design from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey. Alberto is back in his homeland and living in Liberia, where he is actively involved in land development projects. Let Alberto put his knowledge and experience – especially in the Nicoya Peninsula – to work for you to make a wise decision in your real estate investments.
